His Excellency Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al-Malki, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Singapore, met today, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, with His Excellency Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, on the occasion of His Excellency’s official accreditation to the Republic of Singapore.

His Excellency the Ambassador conveyed to His Excellency the greetings of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, together with His Excellency’s best wishes for his continued health and happiness, and for the Government and people of Singapore's continued progress and prosperity. His Excellency the Ambassador also handed over to His Excellency the Minister a copy of the letter addressed by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, to His Excellency Mr Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister and Minister for Finance of the Republic of Singapore.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed avenues and mechanisms to strengthen and further develop bilateral relations, aiming to broaden their horizons in a manner that supports the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries and reflects the solidity of existing ties and the convergence of views on matters of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments and discussed a number of issues of common concern.
