His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, made an official visit to the Republic of Singapore for the period from May 27 to June 2, 2024, in light of His Excellency’s participation as a speaker in the 21st Shangri-La Dialogue organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies in Singapore (IISS) and held for the period from May 31 - June 2, 2024.

On the sidelines of the visit, His Excellency met with several dignitaries, most notably His Excellency Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Mr. Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of Singapore, Dr. Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Defense of Singapore, His Excellency Mr. Kihara Minoru, Japanese Minister of Defense, and His Excellency Mr. Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. During the meetings, topics of common interest were discussed, and cooperation relations were reviewed, in addition to the discussion of the latest developments in the region. The meetings were attended by His Excellency Mr. Saoud bin Jassim Al-Jufairi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Singapore, and several senior officials from both sides.
