H.E Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi, Minister of Municipal and Environment of the State of Qatar participate in the 7th Singapore International Water Week and the World cities summit from 10 – 14 July 2016

H.E Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi, Minister of Municipal and Environment of the state of Qatar has participated in the opening session of the 7th Singapore International Water Week and the World cities summit, which was held for the period from 10 to 14 July 2016. H.E spoke on the key strategies for the environment and water resulting from the Qatar Vision 2030, and pointed out three essential key challenges: (1) the challenge of water, (2) the challenge of environment, (3) and the challenge of development. During the visit, H.E visited a number of public institutions like Singapore Botanic Gardens, Gardens by the Bay and Urban Redevelopment Authority. On the sidelines of the aforementioned conference, H.E met with a number of officials from the Singaporean government to exchange views and opinions towards a number of issues of common interest as well as to discuss the regional and international developments and to discuss the scope for enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly environmental and infrastructure cooperation.
