Qatar’s Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Singapore, organised the Qatar-Singapore Economic Forum today at Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.

The forum came within the framework of the Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s visit to Singapore. The forum will build on Qatar’s long history of friendly relations with Singapore in a bid to bolster commercial ties between the two countries.

A Signing ceremony was held on the side-lines of the Qatar-Singapore Economic Forum, HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani and S. Iswaran, Singapore’s Minister of Trade and Industry, attended the signing of four memoranda of understanding between Qatar Chamber, the Singapore Business Federation and a number of companies specialised in training and consultancy services, agriculture, and construction.
