HH The Amir Holds Official Talks Session with President of Singapore

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE president of Republic of Singapore Halimah Yacob, held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan this morning.

At the outset of the session, HH The Amir welcomed HE the president of the Republic of Singapore and the accompanying delegation, wishing them a good stay, and looking forward for the visit to contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation relations to achieve the aspirations and interests of the two peoples.

For her part, HE the president of the Republic of Singapore expressed her thanks and appreciation to HH The Amir for the good welcome and reception, expressing her hope that the visit can enhance bilateral cooperation to broader horizons in different spheres.

During the session, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to support and develop them in various fields of cooperation, especially energy, food security and education, in addition to discussing key regional and international developments of common concern.

The official talks session was attended by HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Sauod bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, HE Minister of Municipality Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, HE President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa, and a number of senior officials.
