His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, held a State visit to the Republic of Singapore during which HH met Her Excellency President Halima Yacob, President of the Republic of Singapore. An official reception ceremony were held for HH at the Istana, HH and HE President Halima Yacob stressed the deep bilateral relations between the two friendly countries during their meeting.

A delegation consisted of 34 people representing several governmental entities from the State of Qatar have visited the Republic of Singapore for the period from 24 - 28 October 2016. The purpose of their visit was to attend a special training course for leaders entitled (Global Learning Journey: the experience of Singapore) at Singapore Civil Service College.

H.E Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi, Minister of Municipal and Environment of the state of Qatar has participated in the opening session of the 7th Singapore International Water Week and the World cities summit, which was held for the period from 10 to 14 July 2016.

HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani met today with Singapore's Minister of Defense Ng Eng Hen.
